How the F#-E# Format Works

The F identifies the broad function, the keypad, a temperature sensor, the door lock, and the E narrows it to the exact error within that function. Both can show once as a transient event and clear with a power reset at the breaker for a minute. If either returns, the keypad or control board needs replacing.
The Sensor Codes
F3-E0 and F3-E1 are the temperature-sensor codes, open and shorted respectively. The sensor is a resistance probe, and when it or its wiring fails, the control loses its oven reading. This is the most common Jenn-Air oven fault and a standard OEM repair: replace the sensor and confirm the connector at the back of the oven is sound.
